Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
vPROMove is a patient app operated by VProVOB LLC d/b/a vPROMove ("vPROMove," "we," "us"). Licensed behavioral health and substance use treatment programs ("Programs") provide vPROMove to their current and former patients so they can stay connected with their care team. You can only use vPROMove after a Program invites you.
2. Our role and your health information
Your Program is a healthcare provider and is responsible for your health information under HIPAA. When we handle health information on a Program's behalf, we act as that Program's business associate under a written Business Associate Agreement, and we use that information only to provide vPROMove to you and your Program. Your Program's Notice of Privacy Practices also applies to your information.
Records relating to substance use disorder treatment may also be protected by federal confidentiality rules (42 CFR Part 2). We do not redisclose that information except as those rules and your Program permit.
3. Information we collect
From your Program
- Your name, contact information (email and mobile number), and date of birth, used to set up your account and confirm your identity
- Which Program(s) you are connected to and your care team contacts
From you
- Account details, such as your email address and password (stored only in protected, hashed form)
- What you create in the app: messages to your care team, check-ins, journal entries, and milestones
- Your communication choices, including text-message and notification consent
Automatically
- Device and technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and push-notification tokens
- Security and access logs, such as sign-in times, used to protect your account
4. How we use information
- To provide vPROMove and connect you with your Program(s)
- To verify your identity and keep your account secure
- To send you the verification codes, notifications, and messages you have agreed to receive
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service
- To meet our legal and contractual obligations
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. How information is shared
- With your Program(s). Your messages and check-ins go to the care team at the Program they are addressed to. If you are connected to more than one Program, each Program sees only the information associated with its own connection with you.
- With service providers that host, secure, and deliver the service (for example, cloud hosting and text-message delivery), under contracts that require them to protect it.
- When required by law, and only as permitted by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
6. Text messaging
We use your mobile number only to send the text messages you consented to, as described in our SMS Terms. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
7. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls that limit each Program to its own patients' information, and audit logging. No system is completely secure; please keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Retention
We keep your information while your account is active and afterward as required by our agreements with your Program and by law. Your Program's records are retained according to the Program's own policies.
9. Your choices and rights
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts, or turn off notifications in the app
- Update your account information in the app
- To access or amend your health records, contact your Program; it is responsible for your records
- To close your vPROMove account or ask a privacy question, email support@vpromove.com
10. Children
vPROMove is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of vPROMove after changes means you accept the updated policy.
